ABOUT THE LIBRARY
Aware of the development of the Internet and the omnipresence of Google and similar services, the Algebra University College has not neglected the development of its library fund and the library as infrastructural support for studying. In this sense, we have published more than 50 books that cover all courses of our current professional study programs for which there is no commercially available literature in the Croatian language. These books are included in the tuition fee and have a great ability to enable students to attend classes and take exams. The official literature which is not published by the Algebra University College or Algebra is available in the internal reading room with at least 120% of copies in relation to the number of enrolled students, which means that each student can use all the literature necessary for classes until passing the exam in question.
In addition to titles which are published by Algebra and specifically prepared for our study programs, the University College has obtained nearly 2000 titles of recent technical literature (mainly in English) which are available to students in a total number of approximately 2500 copies at the reading room of the University College. Also, in addition to the internal reading room located at the college premises, our students and teachers have the right to unlimited and free use of the library of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing on the basis of the agreement concluded between the University College and FER.
In order to make the use of internal reading room as easy as possible, students can borrow and return books through the support of the Infoeduka system of digital student service. Students can view all titles and their availability and can order a particular book through the Infoeduka system and pick it up at the Registrar’s Office of the University College.
Our official library fund located at FER includes over 32,000 titles with over 1400 titles of domestic and foreign magazines together with access to numerous online databases. Books can be borrowed every working day from 9.00 to 18.00. More about the library can be found here.
In order to support students’ individual work, a separate space is made available within the premises of the Algebra University College functioning as a reading room with 11 workplaces, 4 of which are equipped with computers, which can be accessed during the college working hours from 08.00 to 22.00.
Students can also work and learn at the multifunctional student facility named “Room” which can be accessed every working day 09.00 to 17.00. The Room is equipped with 18 workplaces with computers, video projector and wireless Internet access.
In addition, students can also access the reading room located at our official library at FER which has a total of 980 square meters of space and 210 workplaces (without computers) and is available every working day from 8.00 to 19.00.
